Logistics Whiz

Are you a numbers person, who has great attention to detail and loves a well followed process? Help our kitchen crew sort and organise meals to meet our clients order requirements. Ensure stock is rotated, stock on hand is managed, and ensure meals are cooled and stored adhering to food safety guidelines.

Time commitment: 1pm-6pm Fridays
Location: Resound Church, Scoresby

Clean Up Heroes

Be a hero! We’re after some helping hands help with clean up at the end of FOFA’s busy cooking days.

Join us for lunch at 1pm, and then stay on to help clear away the dishes, pack meals and spruce up and reset the kitchen, ready for another day of cooking.

Time commitment: 1pm-6pm Thursday and/or Fridays

Saturday BBQ Volunteers

FOFA depends on fundraising to ensure we can continue to deliver meals to those in need. Join our weekend fundraising team and help raise money to keep FOFA running! Located at DiCenso Butchers in Tunstall Square, Doncaster East, join our rotating roster, working with a partner to cook and serve snags to hungry Di Censo customers.

Time commitment: 9am-2pm Saturdays

Laundry Legend

Are you a stain removing, clothes laundering, linen pressing superstar?

We're looking for someone who can volunteer to collect our aprons on a Friday evening from our Scoresby kitchen and have them cleaned and ready for us when we're back the following Thursday morning. It is usually one load of up to 20-25 aprons each week.

Time commitment: 1-2 hours per week
Location: Work from home

Qualified Chef - Thursday Crew

As demand for our meals grows with increasing cost of living pressures, we have expanded operations to 2 days a week. We are looking for a qualified chef to manage our kitchen on Thursdays.
This is a role for someone who is creative in the kitchen, has a passion for reducing food wastage, has great interpersonal skills and can empathetically but effectively manage a diverse team of volunteers, and likes to have fun while doing it!

Time commitment: 9am-5pm Thursdays

Thursday All Rounder

Cooking not your thing? That’s ok! We’re looking for someone to come in on Thursday and help support the operations of our Thursday crew. Your role will include being there to receive stock from suppliers, managing the packing away of stock, pantry stock control, helping with packing of meals and general logistics support.

Time commitment: 9am-2pm Thursdays
